This is your go-to space for everything you need to make your session perfect-- It is designed to help you plan the perfect session, from choosing the ideal location to selecting the perfect wardrobe and props.
I’ll guide you through every step to ensure your experience is seamless, fun, and tailored just for your family. and then whether you’re looking for timeless portraits or custom artwork to cherish, we’ll make your vision come to life together.

If you have an emergency on the day of your photo shoot and cannot make it to your appointment, please text me (Paula) on 0490 062 920 at your earliest convenience.
If your photo shoot is being held outdoors I will check the weather first thing in the morning. I’ll contact you via phone or text to cancel if need be and will organise to reschedule for you, or arrange to move it to a in home session if you prefer.
There are no rescheduling fees if cancelling due to bad weather.
If for any reason you need to reschedule please notify me as soon as possible.
Photography Sessions can be rescheduled one (1) time at no cost. Additional reschedules are charged at $50 per date change.
Rescheduling due to weather will not incur charges.
Newborn sessions may need to be rescheduled due to babies behaviour/comfort, if this is the case there is no charge to reschedule, and we will work with you to book a new session date.

Between now and your shoot we will be sending you a few emails about preparing for your session, as well as an email reminder the week your session takes place.
Have fun creating precious memories together as a family.
Our photoshoots are relaxed fun sessions where we will cuddle and play to get natural expressions.
Around two weeks after your session we will be in touch to book a viewing appointment.
This is where you will get to see your photos and order any you may wish. We'll help your select the perfect images for your home or album, so you can enjoy them everyday
Pick up your artwork
If we are designing albums for you, you will be sent a proof to approve before it goes to the printers. For all other products we will get these ordered, packaged and be in touch to deliver them to you. All you then have to do is hang them on the wall and love them.

Day Before Your Session
- Don’t schedule vaccinations the day before your session!
- If you are breastfeeding don’t try any new foods, and avoid anything gassy that might upset baby’s tummy
- If you can, tire baby out with stimulating activities so they will want to sleep the next day
Morning of Your Session
- If you wish to have baby dressed in any particular outfit for family photos, bring baby dressed in that outfit. If you wish for us to wrap baby then please dress them in a loose zip up onesie, with nothing on underneath except a nappy. Don’t put singlets etc that need to be removed over the babies head as this will unsettle them. Add blankets on top if they are cold.
- Try and keep baby awake at least 90 min. prior to the session, ideally we want them nice and sleepy for their photos.
- Feed baby until they are completely full just before leaving home, or as soon as you arrive at the location. If its a lifestyle session at your home, please feed baby as soon as we arrive.
- Ensure the diaper or any clothing isn’t strapped on too tightly to avoid red marks, and avoid using nappy cream, talcum powder or oily moisturiser just before the session.
- If you have any outfits or props you'd like included in the photoshoot, don't forget to bring them with you and let us know when you arrive.
During Your Session
- If we are doing a lifestyle session please keep the house as warm as you can, so we can keep bubs nice and snuggly
- If outdoors dress to match the weather
- If you use a dummy or pacifier please keep it nearby. If you don’t, don’t worry about it. We will only give baby back to mum for family photos and for a top up feed if they need it. Ideally we don’t want them to smell your milk.
- Sit back, relax and enjoy the photo experience. Feel free to use the time to catch up on Facebook or take a nap if you wish.
Capturing Your Real Family
- Talk to your kids about the session being a fun adventure. Don't make it out to be something they have to be good and "behave" for. Instead talk about how they'll be playing and having a great time with me, and that I'll capture those joyful moments. This helps set a positive tone and reduces pressure.
- Explain to your kids that the photoshoot is about spending time together as a family and showing how much they love each other. This can make them feel special and more willing to participate.
- If your child has a favourite toy or blanket, bring it along. These items can provide comfort and can also be a cute addition to the photos. After all they won't be treasuring the same toys in years to come.
- Children can be unpredictable. Stay calm and patient, and let me handle any mood changes. Sometimes the best shots come from those unexpected, candid moments.
- Bring along some non-messy snacks and water. A quick snack break can work wonders if kids start to get restless or need a little boost.
- Trust in my experience and ability to capture beautiful moments, even if everything doesn’t go exactly as planned. Your confidence can make a big difference in how relaxed everyone feels.
- Remember sessions are about having fun together, so come along and let me work my magic and just enjoy the time with your family.
- Be Yourself! Encourage everyone to just be themselves. Genuine emotions and interactions always create the most memorable and heartfelt photographs.
- Let your children have a say in the session. Maybe they can choose a location or suggest a game to play. When they feel involved, they’re more likely to be engaged and excited. If they really want to wear their spiderman outfit then let them bring it, along with the clothes you want them to wear of course, and I know I will be able to get them to wear both and capture some extra special photos of them at this stage.
- Plan to arrive a little early. This gives everyone time to settle in, get comfortable with the surroundings, and start on a relaxed note.
- Relax and Enjoy the Moment: Remember, the session is about capturing your family’s unique story. Relax, enjoy the time together, and let the moments unfold naturally.
